Don’t Forget to Breathe – A simple guide to breath awareness and breathwork from our yoga classes
Breathing is something we do every moment of our lives, yet it is surprisingly easy to forget during yoga practice. We can become focused on poses, alignment, strength, or flexibility and lose touch with the very thing that sustains us.In yoga, the breath is not an accessory to the practice — it is the practice. Breath connects body and mind. When we forget to breathe consciously, movement can become tense, effortful, or disconnected. When we remember the breath, yoga becomes spacious, fluid, and deeply supportive. Here is a reminder of what we have explored together this term: how to create space for the breath, how to breathe efficiently and responsively, and how to use breath intentionally to support our wellbeing.
